Assomusica is the association of organizers and producers of live music shows. Since 1996, it has brought together cultural and creative organizations in the industry across Italy, with an emphasis on the role of small and medium-sized enterprises. Over time, Assomusica has established itself as a qualified organization that represents the professionals working in this industry, within the production and promotion of live shows, concerts, theatrical performances, cultural events, festivals, and contemporary popular music events."

Aims and functions

The aim of Assomusica is to promote the cultural, social, civil and financial value of live music, with a special focus on contemporary Italian pop music, and live shows, including theatrical performances, both in Italy and abroad.

Assomusica is the main point of contact for Italian Bodies, Institutions, collecting societies, Universities, public and private organizations, with which the Association establishes direct contact and collaborations aimed at validating and developing the industry.

Assomusica is recognized by the European Union as the Italian representative for live music. Since 2017, it is a permanent member of the European Commission’s Forum on the Protection of Public Spaces representing the Entertainment and Mass-gathering Events industry.

It hosts scientific and cultural events, conferences, conventions, awards, and publishing initiatives that support its associational purposes.

It constantly engages in actions that aim to foster:

- an equal treatment for the industry compared to other areas of culture, including fiscal matters;

- the recognition and promotion of promoters, agents, and producers of contemporary popular music as professionals, as well as labor protection in the industry;

- the promotion and support of young talents;

- the internationalization of 'Made in Italy' live music and artists;

- solutions to create new multipurpose spaces dedicated to contemporary music.

Assomusica has adopted a Code of Ethics and a document by the title ‘Regulations and Roles for live shows in Italy’ that establish the rules of conduct that aim to promote high-quality professional and ethical standards within the entire category towards the audience, artists, the general public, legislators and institutions.

Assomusica is an association having legal personality recognized under Presidential Decree No. 361 of February 10, 2000.

Since 1997, Assomusica is a part of the Associazione Generale dello Spettacolo (Agis), and since 2018 it is affiliated to Confcommercio and since 2019 to Coordinamento Impresa Cultura Italia - Confcommercio.

Since 2023, the President of Assomusica is Carlo Parodi.

Services for members

Assomusica provides its members with consulting services on economic, labor-related, fiscal, legal, legislative, and safety and security matters, offering personalized assistance to best support their daily work.

It provides information on an ongoing basis on topics of interest to the industry (daily press reviews, notices of calls and tenders, updates and explanatory notes on legislative and fiscal developments...).

Thanks to specific agreements with the collecting societies SIAE and LEA, members of Assomusica can benefit from favorable treatment conditions. Furthermore, they have access to convenient agreements with prominent affiliated companies operating across Italy.

PROSEGUONO LE ATTIVITÀ DELL’ASSOCIAZIONE
A SOSTEGNO DELLA MUSICA LIVE

A MAGGIO NUOVE ELEZIONI
PER IL RINNOVO DELLE CARICHE

Assomusica, l’Associazione di Organizzatori e Produttori Italiani di Spettacoli Musicali dal Vivo, prosegue il proprio impegno a sostegno e tutela del settore della musica live in Italia. Dopo l’improvvisa e tragica scomparsa del Presidente Vincenzo Spera, l’Associazione, infatti, nel solco dell'indirizzo e delle progettualità avviate, sta continuando il lavoro a 360 gradi per la valorizzazione dell'industria dello spettacolo dal vivo (Codice Spettacolo, Semplificazioni, Biglietto nominale, Contribuzione aggiuntiva da parte dei comuni, Internazionalizzazione della musica ecc), sotto la guida di Paolo De Biasi, Presidente ad interim.

Inoltre, in materia di responsabilità sociale, asset strategico di Assomusica, si è concretizzata la donazione a favore di UNCHR (Alto Commissariato delle Nazioni Unite per i Rifugiati) per il sostegno alle comunità dei terremotati di Siria e Turchia.

Il nuovo Presidente di Assomusica sarà nominato a maggio 2023, durante le consuete elezioni che ogni tre anni prevedono il rinnovo delle cariche principali all’interno dell’Associazione.
