IL PRESIDENTE DI ASSOMUSICA VINCENZO SPERA RELATORE AL “REEPERBAHN FESTIVAL” DI AMBURGO Si discuterà della necessità di istituire una Federazione Internazionale per la musica dal vivo Una Federazione Internazionale per tutelare l’industria della musica dal vivo. È questo il tema della conferenza stampa che si terrà il 24 settembre  al prestigioso “Reeperbahn Festival” di Amburgo in Germania e che vedrà la partecipazione del presidente di Assomusica, Vincenzo Spera, tra i relatori. Oltre al numero uno dell’Associazione Italiana dei Produttori e gli Organizzatori di Spettacoli di Musica dal Vivo, si susseguiranno gli interventi di Chrisof Huber (Festival director; Segretario Generale OpenAir St.Gallen / Yourope, Svizzera), Aline Renet (Head of communication, Prodiss, Francia), Karsten Scholermann(Boardmember Livekomm - LiveMusikKommission, Germania) e Peter Smidt (Project Manager, Buma Cultuur, Olanda), Greg Parmley, (Managing Director, ILMC, Regno Unito). Sarà un’occasione importante per confrontarsi in merito all’istituzione di un’organizzazione che possa difendere gli interessi di un settore molto importante per la filiera, ma troppo spesso danneggiato da differenti orientamenti politici a livello europeo e internazionale. Along the value chain, this branch of the business is now of crucial importance – for artists, but also for all of the other subsectors. Curiously enough, however, while the other subsectors established umbrella advocacy organisations a long time ago – for example, the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI, founded in 1958) or the International Confederation of Societies of Authors and Composers (CISAC, founded in 1926) – there is no comparable international-level umbrella organisation for the concert business, one that represents the business’s interests in Brussels, Geneva, or Washington. It’s an unacceptable situation, given that for a while now the concert industry has been increasingly affected by political and administrative guidelines at the European and international level. The Reeperbahn Festival, together with the International Festival Forum in London, is setting the stage so that the process of establishing an international federation of the live music industry can finally get off the ground.
