THE LAW ON ENTERTAINMENT AND LIVE SECTOR IS FINE,
WE URGE WITH THE SUBSEQUENT PARLIAMENTARY PASSAGES
VINCENZO SPERA
“The objective of the implementing decrees cannot be disregarded this time.
An appeal to Parliament and Government let's not miss
this umpteenth opportunity one”
Assomusica, the Association of Organizers and Producers of Live Music Shows, expresses its appreciation and satisfaction for the approval - by the Senate's Culture and Labour Committees - of the delegated Bill on entertainment.
President Vincenzo Spera declared: 'I would like to thank the Rapporteurs, Senators Rampi and Catalfo, the Presidents Nencini and Matrisciano, as well as the Minister of Culture - Dario Franceschini - and the Minister of Labour - Andrea Orlando - for having strongly supported the reform and shared this regulatory need for the world of entertainment, exhausted after two years of pandemic and restrictions.
We appreciated the improvements made by the Commissions with respect to the issue of building a first universal welfare for workers in the supply chain and the recognition of the figure of live clubs within the sector. One of the aim of the bill is to restore some aspects of Franceschini Law on live, music and entertainment is approved at the end of the 2017, which unfortunately remained unimplemented.
I refer specifically to the promotion of contemporary pop music and performances, the definition of professional figures and the criteria/requirements for carrying out this profession, the planning of measures to encourage and support live performances, the development of spaces dedicated to public performances, support for the internationalization of productions by young Italian artists and, last but not least, the extension of financial support measures to entities that organize popular music and concerts.
I finally would like to express an invitation to Parliament and Government to establish a table of stakeholders that might focus on the most relevant needs of the live and music sector".
